The unlimited express pass is $110 - $310 per park / per day / per person,

I've been to universal 3-4 times over the last couple of years and never seen it 600 for the park hopper option.

The most I've ever seen is 350 for the two park option. The average I've seen is 200, but for that trip stayed on property and got for free.

Express pass for this ride is worth it alone.

That a screen ride?
not sure - just don’t think that franchise is popular enough to have its own section

True, I've never heard of it actually.

I don't know why people are shitting on how to train your dragon. It's a super popular movie. It was the logical choice of an expansion park

It’s very popular making the Gen Zers. My kids love it.

If we leave politics out of it, Disney parks still offer a better product, but Universal is right on their heels.

I disagree. It’s close. But for older kids and adults I think Universal is superior. Disney is like what it would be like to live in a modern communist state. Super expensive, a billion rules, and the illusion of freedom by giving a handful of pre-approved choices to make.

I wish Universal didn’t get rid of Jaws, earthquake, and Back to the Future. If they kept E.T., they should have kept the 3 other classic rides. I had a lot of fun there this past summer and it was stress free. We stayed at Sapphire Falls and used the water taxi. Disney was fun too but a lot more stressful being on the phone picking light j g lanes that my phone battery died. We stayed at Pop Century and used the skyline and glad you don’t have to wait to park hop after 2pm anymore. Guardians of the Galaxy rewind at Epcot was my favorite ride along with Hagrids at Universal.

Jaws

It became Diagon Alley, Diagon Alley is so much better than Jaws and makes way more money and brings way more people to the park than Jaws ever hoped. It was a good trade

earthquake

Agree, Fast and Furious is garbage. They didn't try very hard with that one.

Back to the Future

I liked BTTF way more than the Simpson's reskin, but the Simpson's section is way more popular. I barely ride Simpsons though or even do more than just walk through it to get somewhere else.

kept E.T.

I don't think ET will last a whole lot longer. They are redoing all the playground kids areas over there. I think we might see ET get replaced after all that is done along with Epic.

One you missed is the awful Jimmy Fallon addition that replaced Twister, I'd rather have Twister back. Hope Fallon gets replaced, but they spent too much money on it to get rid of it soon.

Disney lost me when they turned the theme park experience into an Outlook appointment management experience.

The last thing I want on my vacation is a scheduled meeting for a ride.

Is it me or does all of these theme parks like disney creep you out? Its just something about people dressing up as characters and you don't know who is behind those costumes.

I will not go back to Disney until Genie+ is gone. I’ve been 4 times and the last was in 2022 not long after genie + was rolled out.

It was a terrible experience. I had to be on my phone at 6:55 am waiting to book lightening passes for the day, in a perfect spot for WI-FI, had to leave our room, etc. I spent $200+ on those passes each day, in addition to already paying for genie up front, in addition to park hopper passes that didn’t even matter because we never hopped bc of how effin long everything took wherever we went. To make it worse, my dad went with us and it was his first time at Disney in his life. He was like this is ridiculous, how is this fun for people? I hate that was his first and likely only experience. Prior to that, we always loved it. I booked fast passes as the day went on, it was not a big deal. Now, if you don’t do it by 7:01 AM, you’re screwed on the big rides. I’m never paying that kind of money to go be that stressed again. Glad to see universal is filling the gap and capitalizing on Disney’s failures/extreme greed.

hope they don't mess with Fast Pass. That's a worry of mine. It's so nice at Universa

Universal has always charged for their Express Pass (and it is expensive, sometimes more than the ticket to get in the park). No way they get rid of it, it is a huge money maker.

Wasn't sure what this was so I googled.

Please note: the 2-hour wait to make another selection begins when the park opens, even if you made your first booking at 7:00 AM.

This along with some other things that are listed sounds exhausting

One thing that I was real disappointed with was all the rides that keep breaking down at Disney parks. I don’t remember that happening all the time years before. I’m eager to see how people will react to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that replaced Splash Mountain when they open up later this year.

Universal also screwed Kong up too, IMO

If there ever was a chance to make a bad arse coaster, Kong was it.

I saw today there are talking about making the Avatar ride at Animal Kingdom 2D to save money from what they have now with their 3D glasses. That is one of Disney’s best attractions and you are going to allegedly do that! lol

There are rumors out there that Disney is going to do away with queuing. You will book experience via app and then just show up to ride at your time. They are doing this so people are walking around and spending money, rather than standing in lines for hours upon hours and not having access to throw $$$ to Disney. Its genius actually.
thats actually a phenomenal idea....

that im sure disney will find some way to frick up

Aye, can finally talk about it as I’m on this project.

My family prefers Universal, and not just because they pay my bills lol. It’s because IOA has a massive climbing net jungle gym play area in Jurassic park. In one hour, they can run enough energy off and be good to chill and do rides. The other park had one too that was announced to be reopening. But you also don’t have to plan the day. You don’t have to pay extra for basic events. It’s just easier. And for small kids, better areas for kids to play.

Epic will be great. Amazing. But frick I can’t wait for it to be over so I can be on to the next project.
