I like hip hop, I say the word when it is in a song. I've done it doing karaoke in from of black people. It wasn't a big deal. If someone gets offended that I repeat song lyrics than I assume they have a problem with the song as well.. frick people who get upset about all this crazy shite.

He performed at my undergrad school in the 90's and there were no marches or protests. Black students were at the concert and didn't show any obvious signs of being triggered.

If you are, SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University) is the one you're thinking of with the online presence...they have a regular campus, too.
UNH-Durham is the 'flagship' of the state system. It has a much higher opinion of itself than is truly deserved...
