Fed Chairman Jerome Powell warns it will be 'very challenging' to tame inflation without steep job losses across the US economy after hiking interest rates to 3.25% - the highest level since 2008

Hope for the best. Good luck everyone. I know Brandon didn't carry the OT.

Well, killing demand by killing the middle class is certainly a strategy for combatting inflation. So they have that going for them, which is nice.

No modest say 6% but its probably closer to 8%. Of course the government will do its best to hide the numbers like they have inflation.

If we had the liberals way we would extend covid programs for the foreseeable future, print money and nobody works. But unemployment would be zero because no one would be looking for jobs. You’d be dumb to if the government pays you to sit at home.

They’ll have to kill the economy before it can rise from the ashes.

They mention wide spread layoffs in the article. What industries are the most vulnerable when it comes to this?

Where’s Paul Allen?

I want him to continue telling us that housing prices are going up because of a lack of supply

So, the fed chairman is misinformed?

Not surprising from the administration you voted for.

Cause and effect. Some people will suffer pain. Fortunately for my family, we all have secure positions. We will profit while others suffer. I’ll make sure to give back and donate to the people I deem appropriate.

You are proof that you should have to be able to pass a test to vote or breed in this country
