Sad how much truth he wrote in his manifesto.. paints a pretty bleak future. Unfortunately our current public discourse is breeding some angry and sometimes justified people that want to watch it burn. I imagine we are the verge of some real damage being done by some homegrown citizens

I’ve been listening to Art Bell C2C reruns from 1996. He was covering the search for the Unabomber. When they caught him, Art was reading some of Ted’s writings about technology and it was absolutely stunning how right Ted was

Been a lot of angry people for a long time.

Austin shooter, Timothy Mcveigh, VA Tech etc.

As fricked as social media is for our society, capitalism, Hollywood and what makes our society great inherently leaves behind a huge handful of people that don’t know how to cope with individualistic failure. It’s been a problem forever.

For every person that is able to take advantage of making themselves something in the framework of our society, there are probably 3-4 that just completely fail on a regular basis. Socially, economically and generally finding “content” in life.

Unfortunately some of those folks are super violent. Fortunately most of them are not because there are a ton.

I think the most upsetting thing to me is you thinking you have all the answers. You type on here with such confidence, such bravado, while being such a hateful a-hole.

You've been around for so long, thus having the opportunity to live, learn, and love from your fellow humans, and yet, all you've learned to do from this is to be hateful.

You're not an example of what's right with people, and you never will be. You're too far gone. You will die in your bed, or on some frozen rock, thinking you are a good person, but you're the opposite. You've never thought to find that the true virtue of people lies beneath their skin color.

I am not a perfect person. I will never be. I will, however, go to my grave knowing that I did my best to understand and love other people. Will you?

Every human institution is being shown for the empty, corrupt husk that it is. Once people lose faith in the institutions of their society then it can go either way. Either you create alternate, workable solutions or the whole thing collapses. Could end up being a combination of both.
