Ukraine is already better off. Russia has lost the operational initiative, its army is losing more casualties than it can replace, it's defenseless against deep strike drones that are dismantling its economy piece by piece. Crimea is under a de facto blockade.

Any negotiated settlement at this point will be on terms much more favorable to Ukraine. And it's not out of the question that the Russian army, if not the whole regime, crumbles in the coming months.

Why would they want to attack their consumer base? Even if they’re “targeted” it’s terrible publicity.

Or maybe you mean using them to transport drugs or aid in the transport.

Could you imagine the international incident and hell that would bring on cartels if they purposefully struck a refinery or infrastructure point?
