It's not even because AI could take their future opportunities. It's because they're being indoctrinated to believe that data centers are the enemy and destroy the environment.

You couldn’t be more wrong. Outside of Vandy, Florida, and UGA, UCF blows the rest of the SEC out of the water. The UCF acceptance rate is 30% lower than LSU. The GPA and test scores are higher than any other school in the SEC for acceptance outside those 3 schools. Got anymore bangers for us slick?

UCF & USF have all benefited from the population boom of central and south Florida. They all now have legit ties into well paying Florida industries that some would say exceed many SEC opportunities. Pretty sure their acceptance rates are lower than LSU and they still require an ACT/SAT score.

Are they good for the environment?
Doesn't matter. I was fine without data centers for the first 50 years of my life. I don't think they will improve my quality of life at all. I only see bad coming out of data centers.
