U-Mass - Dean fired after saying 'EVERYONE'S LIFE MATTERS' in email

University of Massachusetts-Lowell Dean of Nursing Leslie Neal-Boylan issued an email on June 2 to the Solomont School of Nursing in light of the recent anti-racism demonstrations across the country, sources told Campus Reform. In the message, Neal-Boylan told students that "everyone's life matters." Days later, Neal-Boylan was out of a job.
The sources shared with Campus Reform the email over which Neal-Boylan was allegedly fired.

Recent events recall a tragic history of racism and bias that continue to thrive in this country. I despair for our future as a nation if we do not stand up against violence against anyone. BLACK LIVES MATTER, but also, EVERYONE'S LIFE MATTERS."

“The Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Shortie Mckinney, had a meeting the day after [the incident], a town meeting… People wanted to know why [she was fired], and what was confirmed is it wasn’t a performance issue,” the source told Campus Reform.
The employee said that the faculty discovered the backlash against Neal-Boylan on Twitter and "put two-and-two together," determining the reason behind her firing, adding that it was not performance-based.
“After some investigation, we found the [tweets], and some of the comments that were posted, and put two-and-two together,” the source said. “She [Neal-Boylan] was a wonderful woman… When she came on board, it was like a ray of sunshine.”

If medical personnel DON'T believe that all lives matter, we are in worse trouble. I do not wish to be treated by a medical profession where only certain lives matter, as a matter of public policy.

Starting to wonder if these people ever actually win their cases. If they were, these schools and companies wouldn't be so quick to jump the gun.

Spoiler alert: they don't. Otherwise, you'd have a situation where a business hires an employee who in his free time advertises Nazi rallies on the street, but the business can't fire him while they lose all their customers and go bankrupt.
Employ at will laws and similar exist for good reasons. In a just world this woman will get snapped up somewhere that doesn't pander but I'm not sure that exists right now.

There is nothing offensive about what she said. Zero. It is also speech protected by the First Amendment. She'll get a nice payday.
