Don't say it couldn't be you. It could be. CNN ran a story last week that Cali cops made an innocent man confess to killing his dad when his dad was alive and well, just missing.
What does that have to do with this?

No, 100% the tyreek situation could never be me

I try to have a at least a little bit of sympathy for a-hole cops. It has to be so easy to form a bad attitide dealing with dregs of society on a daily basis.

With that said, cop wildly overeacted. Not sure if he wanted the story & low level fame of tackling "The Cheetah" or if he's just a psycopath or what. Just write the damn ticket & move on. Throwing a super rich athlete to the ground on the side of the highway on a Sunday morning does not protect or serve anyone.

This law requires that all drivers must comply with lawful orders or directions of a police officer.

Nowhere does it say rolling your window all the way down is a lawful order.

This isn't hard.

It's relevant because you never know what tactics the police are going to use to get more information out of you and charge you with a crime.

You have the right to remain silent. Use it.

Oh, I am wrong... the window is down after he was told to roll the window down and then the door opens.

My bad...

The statute doesn’t mention any orders. So are you effectively saying nothing can be a lawful order? :

Because no matter what is asked, you'll comply. We get it. You're just that type.

Nope

Let’s keep it to this situarion and not use strawman arguments

. Would I roll down my window and be respectful? Yes.

So therefore this could never be me.

This is such a weird thread with more lawyers and law experts than ever before. Isn’t the law in Florida black and white about rolling down a window at the officer’s request? If so, why are so many people carrying on about mUh RiGhTs?

Post it so we all know. Nowhere does it say you must roll your window all the way down.

nowhere does it post any actual example

Which is why I posted actual Florida law firms who have experience with case law in that state to know how the law is enforced and it’s clear rolling down your window is a lawful order

Since you are so demonstrative you don’t have to roll your window down why don’t you post something supporting that….

How many jabronis do we have in this thread pretending they don't roll that window all the way down when asked?

I get it. It's the internet where y'all can play pretend, but you're not rolling the dice in the real world.

Both the cop and Tyreek are idiots. Agree that the cop was on some power trip and it seemed like he was looking to escalate. On the other hand, don’t be a fricking dumb arse and just listen and do what the cop says.

I truly don’t understand how hard it is to say yes sir, no sir, thank you and go about your day. You’re not going to beat the cop in the street.

Hill didn’t help himself but the cops were absolute dumbasses and they’ll all be fired for it.

And, when the guy he was begging for to come get him out of his mess shows up, Drew tells him to shut up, accept his ticket and apologize to the officers so everyone could go on with their lives. All of which he does.

Why would I post it? I’m the one asking.

I'm amazed how many people want to die on the "im not rolling my window down" hill. That's the battle you choose?

If you don't like the cop, catfish him on the internet then send the screenshots to his wife or something.
