Meh. She wouldn't have gone to jail and her fines would likely have been dropped if she didn't grandstand at rallies and run to the media about it. I'd say this was all probably a ploy to get some of that sweet gofundme money which came pouring in after her media appearances. Good for her.

I initially assumed the woman was black for whatever reason

The judge asked her to apologize and she told him to go pound sand. That's why she's in jail. He would have let her off with a warning had she apologized. frick that judge.

This all happened after she refused to give in to the liberal political judge. She went to jail because the judge got mad and sent her for contempt of court.
She didn't technically go to jail for violating the EO. Just all jumbled together.

She is not convicted of transgressing any statute or law. She just refused the edict that is not something that was legislated, codified or enacted by the legislature/executive. You know, the way it is supposed to work in this country. These edicts are supposed to be temporary. In other words in the eyes of known law, she ain't done nothing wrong!
This is just a good exercise into what would happen if those politicians and robes could get us to do what they want because that's what they want us to do. If you can't go to your job which is a god given right in this country, perhaps they can prevent us from assembly and free speech cause they don't like groups assembling and shite talking about them.

I'd like to see the court order, but I would bet a lot of money that it's stated that the penalty for violation could be jail time. She was brought before the court for violating the order.
If you are before a judge on a speeding ticket and he offers you a chance to apologize or get a fine, you aren't paying the fine for refusal to apologize. You are paying the fine for speeding.
