Has there ever been a black person charged with a hate crime? Maybe one.

Won't happen here.

If there was a just-fired ex-employee suddenly showing up in a public place where I was, I'm automatically thinking something bad is about to happen.

as has been explained... it's very easy for the reporters and photogs out on these live shots to get lost in the job and they're used to people walking around them so they paid everyone no mind

I watched the video. I find the mindset interesting. To say the guy was insane is an understatement. I would suggest watching it. It reminds you of how evil humans can be. Protect yourself and your family. Don't live in a bubble.

The GM of the station is saying that Parker and Flanagan didn't overlap as far as time at the station...seems like Flanagan was let go two years ago. The GM can't find a connection between the two.

again I don't see how it matters, if she spotted him they're both still likely dead at that point anyway.

Does it really matter what he used?

I don't give a shite what he used, gun, hammer, knife - he still killed. The poster said it was a video of the shooter buying the gun. That was false.

Didn't they work together at a previous station? In North Carolina, I believe.

The cameraman never had a chance during this situation.

This. Have people not seen the thousands of videos of people mooning the camera or screaming FHRITP and the reporter not break stride?

the tPOS even said in his tweets she was hired after he was released...

THOUGH... I wouldn't be shocked if she was an intern at that station while he was there

they did say she interned there before taking a job at another station for a while

I'd like to think I'd notice him too. But the cameraman obviously wasn't gonna notice anything...he's shooting for the live shot. The reporter is focused on the interview and engaging the lady, eye contact and all. Now, the lady being interviewed, I feel like she could've maybe noticed something, but if she's focused on the reporter, I can see how she wouldn't really notice or think anything.

This was just a normal arse day for everyone up until that point...and you don't normally have it in your mind to be on the lookout for someone about to point a gun at you and start shooting.

So while it's strange that nobody noticed him there with the gun, it's also mostly understandable why.

I could be wrong (likely) but I was always thinking "live" tv had a delay?

Focused on the work and also shock, not being able to process something that outrageous. May have been believed it was a joke or prank, albeit outlandishly so.

I guess I like to think of it like an AB in a baseball game...right in the middle of the pitcher's windup...you aren't hearing or seeing anything else.
