You really like making points that don't have anything to do with logic don't you.
Care to elaborate?

Except it has. The governor did that on 4/1.
Wrong.
From City of Carrollton School District:
quote:
Per an executive order signed by Gov. Kemp today, schools in Georgia will remain closed through April 24 with Monday, April 27, set to be the first day back to a normal schedule. At-Home Learning will continue during this time except for the week of Spring Break (April 6-10)
quote:
Following an executive order from Governor Brian Kemp, Carrollton City Schools will remain closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. More information will be shared soon.
quote:
Dr. Mark Albertus, superintendent, announces plans to end the academic year May 1 for Carrollton City Schools. Please watch this message from Dr. Albertus that provides more information on this decision .
They're still doing online learning.

already said that seniors finish 2-3 weeks early ahead of the lower grades and graduation can be held while school is still in.
You can say what ever the hell you want, it doesn't make it true. Most senior classes finish about a week and a half ahead of everyone else, not 3 weeks. School ends at the end of May through early June pretty much everywhere, so no Seniors would be done by this point.
My district ends school May 22nd and we are teaching online until then. My seniors are done with school May 8th this year, which is way earlier than normal. Typically they would be taking finals a week later and having their graduation breakfast the Monday before finals.

I finally found it. It's no worse than the daily goings-on here.

Thanks for your insights, even though the white sheets don't want to hear it
Sad that a war chicken is a voice of reason up in here.

They would have been on spring break just last week. Seniors wouldn't even be prepping for finals yet.

Yeah I just saw that. It's odd because I haven't heard of anyone else around here doing that. I guess they're within their rights to do this then. Who really knows until the lawsuits are finished. By then nobody will have remembered it.

Now you're calling people who are defending the stupid kids right to an education racist.

Schools have no right to punish a persons personal views

The funny thing to me is they are all up in arms about the students not graduating from school, but these students will likely be enrolled in an online school and have their credits made up by the end of summer.
I would say that at worst the students learned a valuable lesson and the parents are out a few hundred dollars for online school, but based on that girls online comments earlier in thread she's a spoiled rich kid who is going to learn nothing from all this.

We have a rapdily spreading respiratory virus spreading with the world economy at a stand still and the media is reporting two teenagers making an offensive mirror selfie video on social media. Wat.
ETA: Did they post it on the high school's facebook page? did they send it to the southern poverty law center? Or, as i assume, it was merely circulated among their small social network and blasted out because OMG OFFENSIVE.

There you go again with the appeal to authority fallacy while hiding your opinion.
Just because no one important enough is stopping the school from doing this doesn't make it right.

Feel free to link any school calendar where students graduate at the end of April through the first week of May.
I'd love to see a calendar where seniors are done 3 weeks before other students finals as well.

If this is a public school then it’s out of line to expel them.
