People think I'm being snooty when I tell them I refuse to go to Walmart unless I have no other choice.

This is one of the reasons why.

Baton Rouge is rapidly becoming a war zone. I was born on Alaska Street in 1968, Is that still a nice neighborhood?

If you are on a street named after:

A state
A president
An Indian tribe

You are not in a good neighborhood.

Not sorry I prefer to shop in a clean store with actual customer service.

I grew up in SBR. Southdowns and University Acres, actually. Now Im living large in the LP.

Yea doors unlocked, free breeze a blowing thru, a rifle/pistol propped at every door, dogs a running wild and haungry.

It aint so bad, yea I commute every day into BR to admire the spontaneous and colorful fields that Gravy and SWB are planting.

We lived in the LP for 7 years.

We definitely didn't leave our doors unlocked but it was fine. Didn't care for the commute. I don't mind the burbs but my wife didn't care for living out there.

Denham commute isn’t too bad. It’s the people who live in Watson that have it rough. That’s way too far from an interstate.

I shop here all the time and the police officers are covered with vests and seem like they are always ready for some bad shot to go down.

That's crazy. Hope those people are alright. Need another Walmart to go to now

We lived off of Juban and I work near Perkins Rowe. Maybe it's the interstate construction at the time that gives me PTSD.

Either way, we only have one kid in school now and can afford to pay for private and live close to work. Our time is worth money.

Any word on WHO the shooters likely were? Was this near Walmart or in parking lot? Near it could be a multitude of places.

The article had a pic and it was a bit to the right of the Walmart if you are facing it from College. Basically in the parking lot.

There’s usually an EBR Sherrifs Officer parked at the entrance of the College Dr Walmart. I assume they’re objective is to twart the Culcha’s attempts on stealing shite. If the shooting took place where it appears to have taken place per the article, I guess the EBRO wasn’t available this evening.

The type of people that shoot it out in a busy parking lot at 7PM don't give a shite if there's a cop parked nearby or not

This must be a mistake or fake news. The Chief of Police held a press conference on Friday and told the criminals to stop committing violent crimes. He also told the “community” to tell them who was committing the violent crimes. Certainly the bad people and community watched the press conference and listened to him this time.
