Two people shot in New Orleans East, NOPD says

According to initial reports from NOPD, two people sustained gunshot wounds at the location. Their conditions are not known at this time

That whole area of the east is just like Little Saigon and has been for 30 years now. Both sides of Alcee Fortier are lined with Vietnamese businesses and near the back end of it, some Nam owned houses.
Cross the levee at the end of Alcee Fortier 20 years ago and it looked like a Vietnamese farming community complete with women and men in those huge straw hats carrying 5 gallon buckets of water on poles over their shoulders to water the plants.
