Unfortunately there is a video showing you were just as at fault, maybe more, in the altercation. The fact it didn’t turn out in your favor does not change that fact.

If someone is bleeding from being hit and still calm and composed...fricking run. You are fricked.

The way he smiled before he just unleashed was great. You could tell those players thought they were hot shite. Being a 5th string receiver doesn’t mean shite in a bar fight. Love to see it.

But now I wonder if I should focus on weightlifting like all those jacked dudes at gym or technique in bjj

Conditioning will go much further than strength will 100% of the time. If you've never been in an actual match (I competed in high school and at the Army Combatives Tournament twice), you will be surprised how winded you are 30 seconds in. If weight class is even, better is the guy that can do 100 burpees than the guy that can bench 300. There is nothing that will compare you for combat better than conditioning yourself for it.

Those dudes work at a gym. I doubt they give a shite about their job history.

I'm curious how this would have played out vs linemen instead of WRs. At some point absolute size overcomes any skill advantage.

Former UFC fighter Roger Huerta KO'd a Texas Longhorn LB a few years ago after he saw the football player punch a chick. I believe Huerta fought at 155.

EDIT: Huerta was listed at 5'9", 170 in his UFC bio- the UT player was Rashad Bobino and was listed in the Longhorn media guide at 5'11", 230.

The first guy that went down is the one with the smashed eye socket. I’d like to see the ending to the 2nd fight with little Mac smoking Biff Tanner’s arse against the wall as the video cut out.

Matter of fact I’d like to see it all from start to finish.

A win for the good guys

They gave us no options unfortunately. We showed restraint.

Dudes wanted to fight.

Guy in Jean jacket was getting a little handsy and probably deserved to get hit. Guy who got hit first and slammed didn’t really do anything other than causally say “get out of here”

In my opinion from what that video showed

Which dudes wanted to fight? Jean jacket Biff certainly did. Dude with an already bloody nose had a reason to.

He certainly said “get the feck out of here” a bit aggressively at least twice before adding “whatcha got?” Twice. Then he found out

So that’s leaving someone with “no choice,” and the 10 punches and body slams were restraint?

I agreed Jean jacket wasn’t undeserving. Didn’t notice the blood, but if they had been hit by the OU players first then I can maybe agree with their statement

My comment was in regards to a guy saying “get the F out of here” a couple times then being struck first* 3-4 times and slammed (without getting a single hit in himself), while the other guys claim to be left with no choice.
I don’t even care who was at fault as I know neither group, but unless you were hit first (which may be the case) dont claim you had no choice. Just man up and say you did what you wanted to do

Edit: and by the way that most definitely was not an aggressive get the f out of here. He was speaking, not even yelling, and was not leaning into the other kids at all.
Raised voice, fighting posture, fingers to the face, any of that and I’d agree with you.

I didn’t say that.

Yeah, dude had a good bit of blood running from his nose. That’s what he wiped on eye socket dude immediately before the first punch.

Watch it again. I’d like to know which blow cracked the eye. Appears he landed a good elbow as soon as they hit the ground, though it looked like a possible glancing blow. Other than that, you really can’t see what could have possibly cracked his eye. It certainly wasn’t from the first flurry of light punches.

You can always tell people who have been in physical confrontations from those who haven't. This guy hasn't.

If you think getting hit first is the only reason you must fight, you're delusional. Those football dudes lined up and restricted their movement forward towards the urinals. They were obviously trying to intimidate them, and there was obviously some type of confrontation pre-video.

Complete hypothetical, but if I have to piss, and you're blocking my way... let's just say I'll be taking that piss and it won't be in the urinal whether you hit me first or not.
