Pakistan often acts as a Chinese proxy. India and China are geopolitical foes much like Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Why should I, as a white boy that lives in Louisiana, give a frick about a bunch of brown people in South Asia shooting each other?
Well for one thing about half our pharmaceuticals come from India and that's not changing in the near term, tariffs notwithstanding.
For another, insurance will be sky high, if its available at all, for any cargo that transits anywhere near the war zone.
Those are two significant reasons to care and that's not even counting the conflict going nuclear or third parties getting drawn in.

Some groups just are not cut out for warfare. Some groups were built for it and then have thousands of years of experience being savages.
Brutal, hand-to-hand combat is what made European and Asian Steppe peoples so damned formidable. It’s in our blood. We prefer pitched battle to annihilation over strategic, maneuvering warfare.
Look at Greeks and Romans versus Persians and North Africans and Egyptians. Look at the Christians versus the Muslims during the crusades. Look at the entire European continent during the age of exploration and colonization.

He didn’t say they didn’t have warriors. He said they weren’t good.
