I avoid mud parks in LA or TX for all the reasons listed here. I enjoy going up to Arkansas and ride in the hills where there is less traffic and people respect the land and rules. Everyone has a huge side by side now that is worth more than their annual income. At least they can finance it for seven years.....

These assholes on ATV's are why there are no public riding trails anymore. Well that and the enviro-nazis. They've pretty much destroyed 2 of the loops they can access at Camp Claiborne in Forrest Hill. They also don't wear safety gear and they leave beer cans and garbage everywhere. fricking trash.

You are comparing to kids drinking illegally and drowning to adults drinking and driving on private property. When do we just strike down all common sense? If you are drunk, then riding a atv is not the best idea. It is private property, but the owner cannot go around and make sure everyone riding is not drunk, although I"m sure most are.

It is like saying if someone drowned from drinking a coke at a McDonalds that McDonalds is held responsible for this, since this wouldn't occur in any other setting as this person only drinks a coke with a #3 Large size. I get that the legal aspect of this probably is a shite storm, but if the judges would start ruling where the people/victims are held responsible for their actions then a lot more of this stuff probably won't happen and if it did then consequences would be on them.

Congrats on riding dirt bikes for 30 years. Hope you won a trophy or two. Dirt bikes I can see wearing safety gear, but just not so much on an atv or sxs. Its not something we should push people to do anyhow. Keeping ones own safety should be the responsibility of that person. At end of the day... we are grown arse people.
As for the trash problem, I agree with you 100%. Also, this Mud Park is a private place that people pay to go. Not a public place. Much much different outlook.
