Is this true? I've never had my nails done nor been to Bali, much less had my nails done in Bali but that seems expensive for the poor part of Asia.
I've been to other parts of Asia and it was legit hard to spend $20. You could grab lunch, get a haircut, take a tuk tuk ride, get a massage, grab some street food then come back to the room and realize you only spent $18. Hell there were times when I thought they were losing money on a transaction when you factor in gas, COGS, etc.

If that's the price in Bali, then that's the price you pay. It seems like a reasonable price to keep your arse out of jail.

I'm blacker than Wesley Snipes, but I have traveled to places in Asia and Eastern Europe that have few black people.
The LAST thing I wanted was to draw attention to myself. I'll never understand people who travel to these places without understanding laws and cultural norms.

It really has nothing to do with color. It is attitude and the way you treat people. Some folks, even some who are whiter than bread, act a fool and bring shame upon themselves and others. These girls knew what they were doing and they never intended to pay, thinking they could talk down to these ladies and nothing would happen. They about to find out the hard way.
