Never have I ever suggested that we should round up guns, ban guns, repeal the 2nd Amendment or anything of the sort. It is your right to have a gun just like it is my right not to have one and mock people that hide behind them (like the guy in this video)
If you pull a gun you better use it. That guy would have gotten worked over like a two piece combo if those kids knew how to fight and the guy clearly wasn't going to use his gun.

It’s a shame he could not have double tapped both of them. Would have made the world a better place. The spectators started squealing when the tables were turned.

WTF is the point of pulling a gun if you aren't going to use it? How is that a 'troll'? Why even have a gun if you aren't going to use it? For example I have a yard man so I don't own a mower. What would be the point?
Yes, it is my belief that he should have shot them and I wouldn't have criticized him for it. Instead he ended up looking like a fool stumbling around.

If 2 dudes are beating my arse and me pulling my gun causes them to stop without me having to pull the trigger, then that's a success.

love how the watchers seemed ok with the guy being assaulted. But, when he pulls the gun defend himself it's all "nooo!!!"

I see it a different way. He is a security guard hired by a private company and usually the number 1 directive from their employer is to diffuse the situation in the least violent/confrontational way possible (for obvious reasons - private companies don't really want their employees/contractors killing or maiming people in front of their customers or potential customers). He did exactly what he needed to do.
We didn't see the beginning but I can guess they were either being disruptive and he was getting them to leave the premises (likely) or they just unprovoked decided to attack a security guard with a gun (less likely). Either way at that point he tried to physically remove them and when that didn't work the next step in escalation in his mind was to pull his weapon to get them to leave. I'm sure his next step that he is very glad he didn't have to take would have been to shoot.
