He exercised restraint and didn't kill those two worthless pieces of scum. Restraint is something those two will unfortunately never learn, even after a lengthy prison sentence.

Jake (old white guy) would've plugged two young black dudes in Jesse Jackson's backyard and thought the law would've protected him from any retribution.

I didn't hear anything before he pulled the gun. You can only assume what people were doing at first.
They interview people after the view. One guy, who was black, said that they had to provoke him because he never seen the man do something like that. He also said he had no choice, he was defending himself.
The people who screamed when he pulled the gun sounded like women, they were probably freaking out because they thought they were about to see someone get shot.
