People don't give enough respect to edged weapons. In close quarters, and in the hands of someone who knows what he's doing, they are more deadly than a handgun.

One thing that occurred to me is I wonder if someone would make an issue of him not calling 911 before the shooting. I'm just speculating, I know he didn't have time and you can't take that chance with this moron. But I could see that being the argument by the state. "He should have called the police and let them handle it". Or retreated to his home.
