It was a small school anyway - less than 30 in a class, and generally less than 20.

Dad didn't like to discuss and answer questions about Audie Murphy because he knew that many of the individuals who treated Audie and his family like trash before the war changed their tune after the war. Dad didn't like the hypocrisy.

Dude you dont know how many history courses I took in college, and not one of them ever mentioned his name.

Im at home recovering from shoulder replacement surgery, and watching a lot of tv. Im getting a history lesson on many of these old war heroes turned actors. The WOKE crowd should as well. I wish I could hear these war heroes take today on how to deal with the likes of Antifa and the rioters/looters. The ability to send in an infantry of Audie Murphy types to clear them out. I'd pay to watch that battle. Lol

When you drive up the interstate between Marion VA to Roanoke Virginia, there's a long tall mountain called Brushy and that's the mountain he crashed into.

Audie Murphy and Jimmy Stewart made a great movie together called "Night Passage". They were brothers in the movie. The first Destry movie was played by Jimmy Stewart. In the Second Destry movie Audie played Destry.

You need to pay a visit to the Audie Murphy and Cotton Museum in Greenville, Texas.

Also, watch To Hell and Back, where he played his own damn self in a movie.
