You assume that the "core demographic" for NFL football is middle aged white male Americans.

And the only valid and watchable alternative is the halftime show in the Puppy Bowl. It is usually all pussy.

While I'm not enthused about a Bad Bunny halftime show, this is just as lame, just on the other side of the spectrum.

Is it? How do you figure?

I’m not sure which sides you are even referring to. The Super Bowl seems to be doing a poor job of booking acts that viewers want to actually watch. This just seems like a reaction to the fact that people will tune out.

Looks like a woman who tried to transition to a man, but the testosterone treatments didn't fully take. I'm surprised they're allowing the performance.

No interest in Kid Rock. He hasn’t been relevant in 20 years.

Since the performers don’t get paid there might not be many famous performers knocking down the door to do the show.

But it’s a good deal for this guy because people like me who had never heard of him know more now than they care to know. He’ll probably make bank off of this.

This sort of proves my point..

Kid Rock will be whatever he has to be to sell out shows and attract people to his bar.

The general public watches this and their tastes are pedestrian. The NFL knows what it's doing. In fact they can shite on you and you'll watch. You are going to watch, arent you?

Hopefully this means we won't get a 15 page thread complaining how this was the worst Halftime ever. Since everyone will be tuned in to this show.

Here's the reality:

If the NFL trots out Lionel Richie or some crowd pleasing act, everyone will applaud and say that's great the NFL is celebrating someone who makes real music and brings people together.

And then it'll generate minimal controversy, there will be no hype, and people will probably casually view at numbers that fall below the recent totals. It'll be an enjoyable show everyone likes. Nobody will talk about it after.

Or they can pick Bad Bunny, watch everyone rage or celebrate and fight for months, then get huge numbers when everyone wants to be apart of the national hate-watch party. It'll be awful just like last year, but people will talk about it after.

Right

I imagine MAGA will hate watch the real halftime show so they have something to complain about since that’s their entire currency and lifeblood
