You're 30, you are still in your athletic prime. Why dont you get up and do something instead of eating a bunch of pills?
I recognize that you tend to troll on the OT, but others may find this useful...
Most people aren't fixing thyroid issues without meds.

If you are feeling bad at 30 something is wrong baw.

Found out I was hypothyroidal when I was 40. Didn't feel bad or anything. Went for a physical after my dad died. The next afternoon after work, my wife comes up with a pill bottle and says they called these in for you. Been taking thyroid meds ever since. No biggie. But your mud will be checked when you're 40!

Chances you make it to 75? 30 and already falling apart. Godspeed brother.

People just tend to write off thyroid issues because they say it's a fat person's excuse. But people with a true thyroid issue need medications.
It's just like the people who blame true clinical depression on just being sad and don't realize medication is what is needed.

Mine crashed around 30. I haven't found anyone to treat it properly.

This is why God gave us alcohol. Stay medicated.

No doubt.
One thing the OT is good for, besides the usual frickery, is dudes sharing legit ailments and conditions. Glad the OP got his shite checked out and doing better.

I trust doctors about as much as SEC officials.
Theres good doctors just like there are good attorneys, car salesman, auto repair shops, day cares, home cleaning services, etc
Yeah, there are alot of shitty ones but it's up to you to research, find a good one, be willing to spend more when necessary and establish a relationship.

What are you taking/doing to fix it?
Took me 2 years of adjusting meds and an elimination diet to feel better, and my TSH was only a 9 when I was feeling so exhausted that I went to the Dr. I'm up to 224mcg of t4 daily, and gave found that caffeine will make me feel really bad if I have a moderate amount for a few days.
ETA
I turn 30 on Monday. Unfortunately for me, thyroid and other Autoimmune issues are rampant in both sides of my family.

Showing a huge lack of brain cells with this statement. You do realize thyroid issues can also make you very thin?

On the bright side...he's still young enough to where making the lifestyle changes he needs to make to stay healthy won't be as challenging.

Diet only. I went to a specialist, but he said he wasnt sure. My TSH was hyper. He tried meds, then it went hypo. Came off and it normalized. However my antibodies are still high and I feel like shite. I do take a beta blocker.

Are you seeing an endo?
What were your TSH, free T3, and free T4? What are your antibodies at?
I'm never going to suggest you listen to a stranger over your doctor, but I do recommend you check out this website to get a grasp on thyroid function and tests to run so that you can have more meaningful conversation with your doctor. A lot of doctors don't do a great job of communicating this information and their thoughts about what's going on.
