fair enough

but I was answering the questions without making an attempt to argue the merits

We aren’t trying to rule it. Just support the groups that would be friendly to us. Coulda done that in the 80s with no boots on the ground

China is buying influence in Africa by providing huge investments in infrastructure while the host country agrees to exclusive deals on natural resources

Do you know confident the taliban are? They keep attacking American soldiers while we're negotiating a "peace agreement" to leave the country.

It's a complete dog and pony show that poses no threat to American interests.

It's been nearly 20 years since we invaded and nothing has changed at all there and it's still the same shithole that keeps attacking American soldiers.

If we pulled out yesterday, it would still be the same shithole and nothing would change.

While it sucks for them, it’s about time we stop playing world cop. Hundreds of Marines died in Lebanon in the 80s because we were playing world cop. I fought in Iraq in ‘91 because we were playing world cop. Thousands of Americans have fought in the Middle East nonstop for the past 18 years and counting because we are still playing world cop.

And what good has it done? When we first went to the Middle East in the early 80s it was an unstable shithole full of goat-fricking fanatics wanting to kill us. And today it’s still an unstable shithole full of goat-fricking fanatics wanting to kill us.

It’s time we stop wasting trillions of dollars and precious American blood playing world cop.

For real. How much longer did the Kurds expect us to be there? Forever?

Yes he was. In fact he was hand down a terrible failure as a president But it had nothing to do with the color of his skin.
