Friend,
No judgment here, but I am having a hard time believing - with your previous travel experience and post history - that this was your first sojourn into a Love’s Bathhouse. C’est vrai?
Yours,
Sidetrack Silvera

“No, I am driving a sedan. It is that black one out there you can see on your video.”
He responded, “I am sorry; you cannot use the showers. Truck drivers only.”

Friend,
Being a truck driver is not a requirement. I went hiking all day and had a 5 hour drive after that. I looked up the showers at Love's and it was not a requirement to be a truck driver. You do get a free shower if you buy 100 gallons of gas though.

It was the best shower of my life too.

All this bs just to tell everyone you like gay showers with truckers.

Friend,
Mrs. Telecaster and I often visit Loves as they’re always spotlessly clean inside which is most important to her.
On a recent stop at Loves, I purchased a Rand-McNally Road Atlas and a diesel truck ‘tire bumper’ to carry under the passenger seat in the car for protection - just in case.
Regarding your photo of Concrete, Washington, please allow me to suggest a film: “This Boy’s Life” starring Robert DiNero and Leonardo DiCaprio(in a very early role). The film is set in Concrete, WA.
Best regards to you and yours—-

TulaneLSU out there providing vital information for all of his friends on the OT. I am going to petition Chicken for a lifetime achievement award for TulaneLSU!

I did that same hike a few years ago all the way up to the Glacier. Great scenery but I'm not sure that extra 2000 ft climb to the glacier after you hit the pass is worth it. My legs were burning on that one, but most of the climb to the pass is switchbacks in the trees so when the views finally open up you want to keep trekking up the mountain. Better just to go up to the overlook for the island lake and turn around. Save your legs for other hikes in the Cascades. I didn't see any wildlife and I didn't think the road up from Marblemount was that bad. I stayed in Burlington and enjoyed a plush mattress and hot shower even if it added 30 min to the drive. Then I went to Artist Point on Mt. Baker which is my favorite part of the Cascades.

“Yes. I am in the late stages of starting a tour guide service in New Orleans that I call TulaneLSU’s Poorboy Tours of New Orleans. Right now, I lack a vehicle, but I carry a CDL just in case I ever save enough money for a new Ford F350 tour bus. Here it is!” I plopped my card on the counter.
The cashier seemed genuinely surprised and happy that he could sell me a ticket to one of the six shower stalls. It was $18, a bargain at that time. I would have paid $100. The receipt carried a shower number and a code.
Back in my dirtbag rock climbing days most places would rent you a shower, but if you had a pretty fit female climbing partner they could always talk a truck driver out of their free shower codes because they don't use them most of the time.
If you ever get the Poorboy Tours up and running (I am still miffed Mother donated your bus) if you give me a spot on the inaugural journey I will reciprocate and be your porter/guide up Ranier which seems like a natural progression into the world of alpine climbing.
