One of my classmates saw a nest of snakes in the tree near us and began throwing branches and things at it. He hit the nest and a cluster of snakes fell into the water. It was quite traumatizing to me.
They were getting it on. Should have filmed it for the nature channel. With an early start, you could be doing Discovery channel specials on Wart frog mating by now.

Gradually and naturally built on the banks of the old Bayou Metairie,
Nothing natural about it. It was built by the WPA.
It's a beautiful park, though.
Audubon should have Christmas lights - maybe Foreman can ask for another tax for that.

Bayou Metairie is a natural, former meander of the Mississippi River, which stretched from near present day River Ridge through Old Metairie and Gentilly and out past old Highway 90.
That little still bywater you see from the old casino you can see while eating beignets was once part of the Mighty River. In 1849 when the levee at Savages plantation near Kenner busted, the river tried to return to this outlet to the sea. It was human intervention that forced it back, unnaturally.
Know that when you travel along City Park Ave and head toward Old Metairie and passed the old Semolinas and the cemeteries, you are traveling on land reclaimed from this bayou.

Laferneire Park on a weekend would be a great spot for an ICE roundup.

OED defines bust as to break or to split.
Conjugation of burst in the preterite indicative mood:
busted (I)
busted (you)
busted (he, she, it)
busted (we)
busted (you, they)
Please think twice when trying to correct my grammar.

Not surprised there are no pictures for this thread.
I’m guessing you’re not allowed within 500ft of a park.

It's Sunday afternoon. Isn't this your time for selling drugs to kids in the park?

Were you to scared to venture out to nola east and visit joe brown? It’s an amazing piece of public property. It’s got several trails, a stadium, a planetarium and numerous places to pull up and drink a tall boy.
