from a minor boy
quote:
Thomas Jackson, 33, who has been free on bond more than a year, faces up to five years in prison in connection with his guilty plea. He worked for U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan at the time of his arrest in Jan. 8, 2014. His one year of employment there ended after his arrest.
According to New Orleans police, Jackson communicated with a man through a gay social networking smartphone application, GRINDR. Jackson told the man he would pay $500 for sex with a boy under age 11, police said. That man, who has not been publicly identified, alerted the FBI to the conversations, and a federal agent in turn began communicating with Jackson, police said.
The agent offered to link Jackson with a 10-year-old boy for sex in exchange for $500, police said. Jackson accepted the offer and agreed to meet at the intersection of Banks and St. Anthony streets in New Orleans for the encounter, police said. He also said he had only $200 to pay, police said.
The agent and a New Orleans police officer were there waiting for him. Police said he was carrying four condoms, a bottle of silicon lubricant, a bottle of herbal aphrodisiacs and $216, with $200 of it separated, according to the arrest report.

I'm guessing the 16 extra wasn't set aside for bail.

No joke, at one point he was considered a strong contender for a US Supreme Court clerkship after his stint with Morgan. He had worked for many other federal judges, and he was the first ever person to graduate from Tulane law with a 4.0 IIRC.
ETA: He never went by Thomas from what I recall. His street name was T. Haller Jackson.

Give him a stern talking to from a state trooper family friend and a job at a DC lobbying organization.

I expect to be sentenced to 5 years flat time, to be served at Angola, though hopefully with credit for time served on house arrest.

This freak was doing some big time name dropping in the jail when he was being booked, as if anyone was going to come to his aid on something like this.
