That was a shed.

Main house has a tarp on it.

Another “signature” that’s not even a waterspout that they wake up half of Baldwin county for. This is getting old.

NWS Pensacola is bad that way as well.

Of course there was a non-warned F2 near 30A a few days ago that took out a neighborhood behind San Destin.

I honestly don’t think they can tell with radar only with the coastal spin ups and without spotters for the nocturnal storms it’s a crapshoot.

Well, the gradient winds (non-thunderstorm winds) ended up being a dud up my way. My highest gust was about what they said the sustained winds would be.

Wife said a co-worker thinks a tornado went through her neighborhood in Ocean Springs.

Boat and Legend weren't posting much towards the end and NWS is pumping out TOR warnings left and right. Here's a clip of me while our OT WX experts weren't frequently updating, and it looks like a hurricane outside my house.

Not sure if you live in Baton Rouge area but the PTSD from 2016 is evident in these threads.

I used to never care abouth weather, but had several bad experiences in 2020 . I had a super close call with a tornado that April and then a tree fell through roof during Sally. Now I've become terrified of bad weather. It's gotten pretty ridiculous and embarrassing tbh. Hell I'm giving myself anxiety attacks days before the damn things even get here.

I'm normally chill with bad weather my post intended to be humorous with a bit of truth.

Got hit by Ida (we hid in a closet for hours) and just finished extensive repairs not too long ago. No doubt I'm more concerned about severe weather now days than in the past.

Get hit by one that severely damages your home, and your perspective might change as well. I feel sorry for those who have lost homes or far worse, loved ones to storms.

I'm in Miz 1 county north of the most extreme NE Arkansas border county and we got about 5 inches of super wet snow.

I think these weather threads attract so much participation, because they're like a support group for traumatized people. Because many posters have experienced loss and damage from severe weather.
