I don’t think there’s anything there. I think the guys in the office are bored on the night shift.

They said frick it and warned the whole damn thing. Now, they're on a smoke break.

It'll be rough, but as far as the actual rotations go this looks very similar to what went through BR. They didn't blanket warn then. Maybe the wind threat is more significant, and they tor warned for that, but I don't know.

ETA: Or maybe they're legit tired of playing whack-a-mole and really did just say frick it.

Does that mean there’s not actually a tornado touching down?

I thought warnings only came for known tornados

It means one was “radar indicated”

Doesn't appear to be right now.

That's not at all the case. You always have "Radar indicated rotation capable of...." warnings.

Yes. This is where I am. Why are we getting a tornado warning if no tornado?

Amen. I’m not equipped to deal with the stress of tornadoes much less frequent warnings.

They need to trim this monstrosity of a warning back. New Orleans doesn’t need to be in it anymore. Or ever have been in it actually

Outside of a derecho event I absolutely loathe blanket warnings. I don't at all like blanket tor warnings for that broad of an area.

“Tornado Warning: Take Action! A tornado has been sighted or indicated by weather radar. There is imminent danger to life and property. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If in a mobile home, a vehicle, or outdoors, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. Warnings are issued by your local forecast office. Warnings typically encompass a much smaller area (around the size of a city or small county) that may be impacted by a tornado identified by a forecaster on radar or by a trained spotter/law enforcement who is watching the storm.“
