They’re not using Greek letters anymore because they’re confusing or something so they’re using African names or something.

@WxTca
A new microwave pass over invest 96L seems to confirm what has been seen on visible imagery, a low level swirl with convection centered just to it’s northwest because of some windshear. Environment is somewhat dry (darker colors), but this seems close to TC status regardless.

NOt using Greek alphabet names any longer, they developed an alternate name list.
here is the list of names to be used in the event that they use all of the regular names.

They should get commercial sponsors, that should liven things up.

I look forward to the articles about the implicit racism of white people after Hurricane Tayshaun wrecks their communities.

It’s gonna be another fake early season Carolina storm. This was the one last year. Check out those winds.
Yes, Lawd - let it be so! My son & his wife traded California wildfires & earthquakes for this instead.

@TropicalTidbits
Invest #96L now has a closed circulation, though deep convection is not well organized around the center. Dry air on the south side and some easterly shear should prevent significant strengthening, but formation of a tropical depression is possible before landfall in the SE US.

They will bump this one to a TS just before landfall because why not

We need a LaQuencha for a rain maker.

When do they expect 96L to make landfall?
