Still ain't stacked perfectly.

Surface pressure has to be under 1000 mb with those winds present at 1002. About to get a pass though the east side.

I live in Madeira Beach. One of my neighbors just put out their recycling bin for the night.

Never underestimate the power of a moron.

Weather buoys that it passes over of just off to the side say differently. Though they have told me that pressure is lower than recon has, windspeed not so much and 10 MPH lower than Doppler trying to find 3 droplets being pushed along at hurricane speed

I say recon not impressive.

So the buoys actually agree with my assessment of the unimpessiveness.

I feel your pain. We are about to catch the wall in next 90-120 minutes here on the coast. Pinellas county is quite windy and waves are already stacking near Johns Pass. Just had a gust of 51. Skyway is still open!

I see an outflow boundary coming out. No surprise convection wanes after. Some dry air got pulled in.

Rapid warming of cloud tops supports that. Massive dump of cool stable air into the LLC region will do that.

ETA: The 18z HWRF nailed this and shows a convection less swirl by sunrise.

Worked so hard to stack up and then sucks in some stability to ruin it.

For the best so near Tampa.
