It will be interesting for sure. Still hope we look back on all this as an overreaction.

The government will never let that happen. They will always push the “it’s because we were socially responsible” agenda.

There is no way to effectively socially distance in elementary school. Seems tricky considering that children are most likely to be asymptomatic carriers.

With this virus, children are likely to be a major component of herd immunity.

That's also in phase 2, so you'll have gone a month with a downward trend in cases, and testing and tracing will continue to be ramped up.

This is not rocket science, and is very similar to how we have lived in Hong Kong since January

I guess y'all don't have the Fauchi, Birx, & Trump 3 Phase Plan?

Are you just supposed to live like that forever or do they have a timeline/target to get back to normal?

Or is that considered normal in HK? Asians do love their masks.

This is my concern, we're going to need way more testing done first. Once we get that this will be a solid plan

So, raising the reimbursement is going to do a lot in a few weeks, as my understanding is that Abbott and Roche both have a number of their high-throughput machines available for sale.

Senate Democrats proposed a $30 billion plan to raise testing. Personally, I think that President Trump will propose similar measures and then pretend that they were his idea all along.

I read the articles where Trump teleconferenced with a lot of corporate CEOs etc the other day about things they thought were most necessary in starting up.

Easy, free and rampantly available testing was #1 on almost every single list.

Most talked about it terms of giving enough people confidence that things were under control to begin going back out and spending to jump start the economy.

I really hope politicians don't start to bog down over "theoretical" differences with this. Just spend what it takes to make sure people think every single person in America can easily get tested in the near future without a lot of hassle to keep this under control.

May be a bit eye-candy like the security checks at airports but probably still cheaper than having more shutdowns when somewhere like New Orleans flares up again mainly because too many people were avoiding paying for tests.

Nah. We're good. Our district here is rolling with NTI. No reason to go back until August other than to schedule a graduation ceremony for Seniors.

Can't enter phase one until today, with a minimum of 14 days. So, May 1 would be the earliest to phase 2, May 15 the earliest to phase 3.

Guidelines not mandates. Also note the language that says the states can tailor these guidelines to their specific needs.
