Because our government has no fricking clue what healthy nutrition actually is. These are the same people that believe the bulk if your daily intake should be carbs and that red meat, butter, and eggs are bad for you.

The school lunches weren't even healthy. They were just less flavorful. Kids were still getting microwaved shite, just with skim milk and burnt wheat rolls on the side.

I’m not sure they were ever technically made healthy. I asked my kindergartner last week what he had for lunch. He told me chicken nuggets. I said, “Didn’t you have chicken nuggets yesterday?” He said, “Yeah, but these were a different shape.” If the lunches are going to get worse than that, I might have to start packing something for him.

Blame their lazy parents for not teaching their kids how to eat healthy. Once a kid gets into 3rd grade they should know how to make a healthy lunch and bring it to school. Don't rely on the school for nutritious food!

I wish Michelle Obama had promoted literacy and reading. It would be fun to see all the patriots going, “My damn kid will not be reading no damn books. We threw all that commie crap out of our house.”
