This would be an interesting move. Amongst a time with oil price wars and Dow set to open down 800 we would get a boost to our paycheck. Perfect timing when truck nut sales are at an all time low.

Any day the government doesn’t take the money I work for is a good day

Speaking for myself, I was 1 year removed from college and had a great job when Obama enacted the 2009 stimulus, so I honestly know nothing about it.

Interesting for sure. If it were to work, the economy remained steady, and we all had a bit more in our pockets on payday, I don't see how he would lose in November. Seems win-win for him and the public in theory.

Unless you believe that the government already owns your money pre-taxation, they are two wholly different things.

Scruffy doesn’t recall a reduction in taxes with the stimulus.

This source is a joke

quote:

One source familiar with the proposal tells Fox News that addressing the payroll tax is “the fastest possible way” to address economic concerns. The source said that crafting proposals such as “unemployment insurance and dropping money out of helicopters takes months to engineer. But the payroll tax could hit immediately – especially if they include both employers and employees.

“(The payroll tax) helps in all red places but not all blue places,” said the source.

you hate him so much that you don’t want more money in your pocket? And he’s racist because the three news channels told you he was?

Why? They aren't really the same. This is letting citizens keep more of their own money.

Some of that is because they cancelled the parades.

That would be a big boost to the economy and a winning strategy for Trump. I’m heavily in favor of it, but how will we make up for the missing tax revenue? Hopefully lots of cutting the fat from the government

Those who conflate the two believe that the government is just “loaning” your money to you and it was never yours to begin with.

Well the blue places are filled with welfare queens, illegals, and homeless who don't pay taxes in the first place.

It's amazing in our "strongest economy ever" we can be reduced to Venezuela, our shelves lacking many items, so quickly.

I wish they’d permanently eliminate payroll tax. Go ahead and take out the income tax as well.
