It helps traffic to use all the concrete you can. That's why it pisses me off when someone leaves 2 car lengths between them and the car in front of them at a stop light. Someone is stuck behind you because you ain't using the real estate correctly.

I cannot stand people who don’t let folks merge. Traffic flows so much better when people just follow the let one in rule. Too many times, people are just assholes just to be assholes.
My favorite scenario is people not using their blinkers merging then people are pissed they merged in front, but if a person has their blinker on to merge, the person will purposefully speed up to not let them in. WTF, are we going for pole position here? Act like you’ve driven before. When the shoe is on the other foot, that a-hole damn sure expects the car to let them in.

This blurry side edge mode (example below) is particularly moronic. It means that landscape would have worked better but the idiot taking the picture captures only 1/3 of the available image and relies on a cheap edit trick to fill in the other 2/3rd with redundant imagery.

What the frick video did you people watch?
You can immediately tell from the video that the truck had allowed the silver car in front to merge. The angle of that car clearly shows they were following the merge lane line, not the highway line.
So the truck had already allowed one car to merge, and Miss Bitch tried to jet into the gap, that the truck had created for the first car to merge into.

I live in Houston and on busy mornings sometimes have to sit five minutes on the feeder ramp that leads to interstate 10 in Katy. People come zooming up on the feeder and try to cut everyone off right at entrance to interstate and that is the only time I'm like "frick you" ! and I'll box them out
when i'm in right lane on interstate and someone needs to merge over, then the "zipper" technique when you let someone in is perfectly fine. But those assholes who try to sneak up on the line of folks waiting in the merge line is what causes the back up in the first place. frick those people !

Guy was a dick and could've just let her in but legally he wasn't the lane ending, so he had the right-of-way.
