Metry Cab still exists (I think). There were a bunch of "Metry" businesses back in the '60s.

Only like five people call this side of the interstate Old Metairie, and they are all real estate agents. I don't know a single person who would refer to it as that, and my family has been in New Orleans/Metairie since the 20s

Newsflash: there are no official borders for Old Metairie. And if there were, an interstate that wasnt built until the 1960s wouldnt be a factor in them.
Like listening to people argue about what constitutes "Uptown."
