Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
200 PM EDT Thu Oct 31 2024
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. Southwestern Caribbean Sea:
A broad area of low pressure is likely to develop over the
southwestern Caribbean Sea during the next day or two. Gradual
development is possible thereafter, and a tropical depression could
form over the weekend or early next week while the system drifts
generally northward or northwestward over the central or western
Caribbean Sea. Regardless of development, locally heavy rains are
possible during the next several days across portions of the area
from Nicaragua southeastward and eastward to northern Colombia.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...60 percent

This isn't a wish cast... But I could deal with a very large amount of rain.

GFS has it in the northern gulf next weekend

Wasn't the same thing stated during Milton that it was very unusual for that time of year for a storm to go in the direction it did instead of coming to the western side of the gulf?

That would be a TS. Would suck to get all that rain on Saturday though.

I was under the impression that it is November, not late September.

Then you run to the rant to start a thread about a hurricane moving the game away from Baton Rouge next weekend.

YouTube weather guys say there is a high pressure over SC/Georgia which block Florida and send storms to the west.

Psycho I work with believes that not only an they create hurricanes but they can steer them anywhere they want using lasers.
In theory I thin they could maybe make one stronger using cloud seeding. But this crack pot thinks the government can create one and steer it. He also claims the government can created hi and low pressure areas and fronts.
It should be no surprise that he doesn't watch any news outlets at all and gets all of his news from listening to the Alex Jones podcast.
