weathermen couldn't hit water if they jumped out of a boat.

We are about 30 miles south of Houston. Lost power around 3:30am yesterday and it wasn't restored until late in the afternoon. No flooding or damage though. Could have been a lot worse here.

They would move the boat 3 or 4 times until they finally hit water and then say they nailed it.

It's coming down hard in Mobile. Looks like we're gonna have several days of this crap.

I've reported his arse to Facebook several times. He needs a good old fashioned TD'athon. I can't stand that he fear mongers and plagiarizes. He's a hack.

North of walker here. Still cloudy looking but has not rained in about two hours.

I'm thankful for that. Just went to my beer store and ditches are high due to all hurricane debris. Still have entire trees laying in ditches on side of road. This could have been bad.

I continue to be baffled how the same profession that can look at a storm a week away from land and predict where it will hit within a small margin of error can't accurately determine if I'm going to get no rain or half a foot the next day

State government in BR closed today, too. Probably some expense they can write off and get compensation from the feds. Seems right out of the JBE playbook of milking money from the feds.

As of last night, the forecast projected flash flooding during the morning commute. I'm surprised they didn't say offices closed until 12 or something like that.
