Do you think it will get to Ireland?

Yeah, Franklin is looking like a pretty textbook major hurricane. Glad it’s a fish, though it will likely bring dangerous surf and rip currents to the East Coast.

I think there will likely be some rough weather there as the spiral bands come through. How much depends on exactly what track Idalia ultimately takes.

Should be good to fly into Orlando Saturday right?

I would think so. Idalia will be long gone by then.

Sea grass south of HB is already in bad shape. We haven’t fished south much in the last three years. The only good flats fishing and scalloping is north of HB going towards Steinhatchee, within a mile of two of Pepperfish Island. If those areas get severely damaged, flats fishing will be drastically effected for several years. Winter months would probably be okay because the trout stack up in the creeks but spring, summer, and fall flats fishing could take a huge decline.

I've never felt this bad about about a hurricane that will have no effect on Louisiana. I just feel terrible for Floridians right now

Between the hurricane and FSU losing, they're going to have a shitty week!

I'm wondering how the Anna Maria/Holmes Beach/Longboat Key area is going to fare. They got lucky last year after Ian shifted south.

Do I did see where it should be making landfall at a full moon high tide? That isn’t helpful.

Too early to say. I have a home in LBK and I'm not worried...yet. BUT, any storm north of Tampa Bay is a concern due to the amount of water that can be forced into the bay and connected waterways.
