The problem for SC will eventually become training bands. Wherever those bands set up is going to have the worst problems. If it slows down more than expected you'll really see totals start to pile up.

Yep. There are gonna be 5 mile strips that get 20”

Outside of that strip might not get half of that

My wife and I just went to Tampa and Sarasota two weeks ago and we were on St.Armand's Circle in Sarasota doing some shopping. She just sent me some video it is all flooded with about 7 foot of water in the shops. Don't know how long it will take to recover from that. This storm was bad but that area has been getting alot of rain before this happened.

I live just a couple miles from there. My boat is stored just a field goal from St Armands

I think it played a pretty good part in the build up. We were getting some very good afternoon storms the past 3-4 weeks. Then yesterday happened and we were just in the cross hairs. Those long bands got over us and just kept on top for hours.

As bad as it is, South Carolina may get it worse

You can see the banding setting up now. I imagine the general Charleston area is going to be under a flash flood warning for quite a while.

I checked flightaware and was surprised that planes are taking off and landing in basically what remains of the eyewall over the JAX airport. Storm weakened quickly from a wind standpoint.

Dude I called this about 3 days ago. I said it would begin to almost stall and the rain for SC and NC would be historic. I just went to weather.com and they are finally saying rainfall/flooding will be historic.

I mean......that's been a pretty significant part of the forecast for days now.

Tornado warning for most of the Charleston area. Rotation noted over Maybank Hwy bridge between Johns and James Islands moving NW.
