I was the lucky recipient of my first hummer in ‘76, this image reminded me of her.

No cultcha during the As, especially with the location of the Bon Marche being close to Florida Blvd.

I drank my first beer in the bon marche parking lot. Miller pony circa 1976 or so. A Schlitz too but the Miller Pony was first.

Once it kicked in at 20 seconds I knew that jingle by heart. Holy shite, am I dead yet? I've been alive way too long.

I will never forget that scumbag that owned the baseball card shop there. No one got more pleasure screwing over an excited 10 year old like him on a trade.

I feel like this ad was an answer to the "new" Cortana mall opening up. It obviously didn't help out much

It started as ‘Bon Marche’ Shopping Center.’ Cortana opened in 1976. About that time, Bon Marche decides to ‘close in’ and become a mall.

So before that it was just a shopping center.

Looks like Jaws from the James Bond film to me.

The screenshots from that commercial look like from some '70s horror movie or Faces of Death.

Jacky9br is an awesome YouTube account. Tons and tons of BR nostalgia.

I worked construction there when it was being built.

It was a big project back in the day.

Montgomery Ward and DH Holmes were anchor stores.

It was big back in the day.

Awesome. Reminds me of Fun Fair Park days and being able to walk around in BR without beggars or being afraid to walk alone at night.

I’d love to see an old “Dahlin” ad and a Buckskin Bill Black episode, too. Good times!
