Checked bags are x-rayed as well. And if they see something out of sorts, they're going to open the bag and go through it. I've had the ticket from them in my checked bag a few different times.

I'd check it to be safe. You may get unlucky and have a carry-on with drugs in it when the random drug dog is walking through the terminal.

Yeah there is basically no risk here unless you are trying to pack a pound of flower.
I don’t even change out the packaging. I often buy beer or bourbon that I can’t get at home and that gets my checked bag searched about 75% of time. And that bottle is basically almost always right next to some weed gummies.
Always cracks me up when that TSA bag search notice is basically sitting on top of my weed. Lol.
My only concern is TSA stealing it. Haven’t run into that yet.

Yeah, but they'll still make your butthole pucker up. I was flying out of Atlanta a couple of years ago and had some in my backpack. The line we were in funneled into a room where a guy was walking back and forth with a dog. Not gonna lie, I got a little paranoid the damn dog kept slowing down when he got near me.

Well, I get to my gate after some breakfast and I nodded off.
My carry on is on the floor. Out of nowhere a dog is smelling my bag.
I woke up but kept my cool as they kept walking by. I'll say that's the most I've puckered in a long time. Haha

Its actually preferred in the carry on. It also highly depends on the TSA squad you're dealing with. I've heard some nightmare stories.

Fact, dogs can only be trained to find one smell. Any Tsa dog in a legal state airport is trained to find bombs. They will not alert to weed.
In a non legal state there could be chance a local yocal law man might have a drug sniffing dog.
So if your flying out of a legal state with a recreational amount no worries. Tsa is looking for bombs and you can't be arrested anyway.

I flew back from Denver to Dallas with a gram of wax. I used a deodorant stick, pulled the white deodorant out, placed the wax (wrapped up in tin foil) at the bottom and placed the deo stick back into the plastic, and pushed it back down. Didn't have any issues. Edibles and weed may be more difficult because the edibles come in bags, and the weed smells.

Thats true too. If TSA nabs you with weed, the worst they'll do is call the local authorities, and it its legal in your area you have no worries. TSA don't care about weed. Its explosives they worry about.

Flew out of Orlando a few weeks back and they had everyone walk through a staging area in twos while the sniffing dog followed along. Was a sight to see.
Before it was my turn to go through I witnessed a positive and they pulled the guy to the side. Don't know what happened to him.

Edibles in a sealed ziploc inside of checked luggage. Wouldn't try anything else, personally.
