Well, cold as frick is relative.
It won’t be pleasant for an unseasoned visitor, that’s for sure.
But check back in late January.
Just layer up with your outer layer being something waterproof. Make sure you have hat and gloves. Wear some long underwear under your jeans.
Go to some bars and hit some tailgating parties. It’ll be a good environment - I wish I could go.

for the game this weekend and could use some feedback. I've never been to Ohio and I hear it's cold as frick this time of year. Should I plan on wearing ski clothes? Also, does anyone know of any good bars, restaurants, etc? (and yes, I am bringing my Joe Burrow jersey)

J. Gilbert's is the best in Cbus. I've been to them all.

Go to the Short North. It's the best neighborhood in Columbus. There are a couple of excellent restaurants there: The Pearl and Guildhouse. Also an enjoyable place to bar hop and day drink.

I spent most of my time in Dublin, OH, but I made it to Columbus for a day or two.
Dirty Frank's Hot Dogs Prepare for a wait. This place was awesome. Good beers, plenty of liquor, and the Dead Kennedy's playing overhead. Make sure you get some extra crispy tater tots.
Schmidt's Another local place. One of those things you have to grow up with I think. It was good, but I didn't understand the hype.
Seventh Son Brewing This was by far my favorite brewery. The beers in Columbus are just OK (I think it's the water they use), but Seventh Son had the best atmosphere of all of them. Notable mentions to Hoof Hearted Brewery and Wolf's Ridge Brewing.
Don't listen to these clowns about the lack of female talent. Columbus, OH had some damn fine looking women when I was there.

Columbus is actually a pretty cool town. Too bad Hineygate is no longer around.
We won when I went for the Badger game
Also, it's the most populous city in Ohio. BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT!!!

Walk up High St in Short North and you'll run into all kinds of bars and restaurants. Bakersfield is a good spot if you like tacos.

You should probably invest in a Canada Goose jacket due to the cold weather.

By a lot too. That city is growing really, really fast.

A bit misleading. The city limits of Columbus are 3x times bigger than Cincinnati or Cleveland.
Currently Cincinnati ranks higher on the MSA ranking and will be 1 million more once Dayton is combined in the 2020 census.

I mean. That’s better than a wife beater and a hula skirt. But some thermals and heavy coat would be a good alternative. No need to jump straight to ski clothes. Are you PLAYING in the game or anything?
