I am traveling from Huntsville Tx. to Pensacola FL. Leaving sometime tomorrow. Right now our departure time looks like 11:00pm. Might get a little earlier start but probably not. Any suggestions on a safe travel path through Louisiana?
I am working today so I won't be able to respond to much to the thread. Thanks in advance for any info.

You’d be better off leaving early Sunday morning.
Otherwise, you will driving right into a tropical storm. Have you seen any news in the last 3 days? Wtf

If this is for vacation, reduce your vacation by a day and leave Sunday.
If this is for work, work isn't that important to drive all the way through a TS

Best bet would be to take Hwy 90 the entire way.

I would run 45 up to Dallas, hop on 35 to Okie City, then 40 East to Memphis and shoot up to St. Louis. From there you can book a flight to Pensacola or just go down to Paducah.

Lol, you guys responses don't disappoint. I laughing so hard Iam almost crying. I can leave Sunday but was worried roads would already be flooded out. I have a fishing trip lined up at 6am Monday. Didn't want to get up that early after driving 10hrs. Was thinking about a northern route??

Not sure if troll or just extremely dumb.

I was kinda thinking this but the route has to include 30A. If I can't get on 30A I'm just going to cancel the trip.

The coastal roads will give you a wonderful view this time of year.

Just stay as close to the coast as possible. probably want to take hwy 90. Just check to make sure your airbags are working before you leave in case you have to drive through any standing water.

I remember driving through a TS in 2011 when I left destin headed home to Shreveport.
If I didn’t have to leave that day I wouldn’t have been driving.
