I recently ran into the Trapped Water Dilemma and the effect it is having on the planet.
Remember photosynthesis?
Plants are literally consuming billions of gallons of water all over the world.
Plants are not just trapping water, but they are destroying the water molecules. The chlorophyll in green plants breaks down the water molecule and carbon dioxide using sunlight to produce sugar molecules and oxygen.

The Universe is practically made up of water in the form of hydrogen and oxygen and our solar system passes through those gases all the time.
Do you know how many tons ,on average, of dust from meteors falls on the Earth each year ?

Yeah, my bad. After re-reading it was pretty obvious.

We get water from the ground and put it in bottles That water doesn't get back into the groundwater supply
Sounds like we should start putting nuclear waste in old water bottles if they are that secure forever.

Just doing my part to protect the environment.

And when the sugar decomposes, it turns back to water.
The oxygen you inhale doesn’t turn to CO2.
It turns to water.

Ever been to a landfill and watched those humongus compactors with spikes and sheepsfeet rolling all ove that shite?
Aint no water left in those bottles.
I was dumping some construction scrap one day, and saw them roll over 3 dead horses.
Grossest thing I've ever seen.

Gonna add this to the list of stupid things said in this thread, but I think this one is serious.

Do we realize how truly small 22 million gallons of water is when comparing to the size and amount of water there is in the US? We are talking less than 14 seconds of flow from the Mississippi river. We are talking a cube 1,100ft on all sides filled with water....for the entire US. Literally a rounding error in terms of total water available

4,488,311 gallons of Mississippi water pass New Orleans each second.
20 million gallons every 4.5 seconds

22 million gallons of water that we will never get back into the Earth's water cycle
Until that landfill gets a solid lightning strike and the shite underneath burns for hundreds of years, sure, it's trapped

We are losing it every year and never getting it back. It's been going on for decades.
While I do make every effort to drain any bottle I throw away and no doubt think a lot of liquid gets trapped, I doubt is “gone forever” out of the cycle. Between all the crushing that goes on with trash and the eventual degrading of plastic, it’s going to be released.
Should we also not be concerned about the elements and water we lose with disgarded food that end up in landfills wrapped in plastic?

Worldwide, 22 Million gallons is a drop in the bucket (pun intended). For example the mighty Mississippi is flowing at 2.8 Million gallons per SECOND at Baton Rouge. So in just over 8 seconds, the same amount of water trapped yearly in landfills world wide flows by BR.
Thar sort of story does nothing but stir up unnecessary panic in people that don't understand the world.

22 million gallons is less than the daily groundwater withdrawal rate of North Baton Rouge industry.

Could this be the reason we are having less rain? Are we removing water from the water cycle? Is it too late to turn things around?
God you people are retarded.

What mountain range is creating the Sahara Desert? Very few deserts in the World are created by mountain ranges
