Good because that was certainly not the intent.
It’s goes back to my original post. For a leftist, leftism supersedes any other belief system or identity. It’s been this way since the 1860s. Look at modern day feminists and their support of trans women. From a purely principled position, third wave feminists should be the ultimate opposition to the trans movement. Yet, the vast majority support it without question or hesitation.

This is true. The power brokers at the Vatican allegedly want to “more progressive.” Supposedly, this is the group that have been behind shielding pedo priests. It’s also the group that got Francis elected Pope.
Last but not least, it’s allegedly the same group that went after Cardinal George Pell in Sydney, Australia.
He was falsely convicted of child abuse, and sent to prison for 404 days before the conviction was overturned by the High Court of Australia. Ironically, the allegations hit right after he investigated the financial issues at the Vatican.

Let’s just say that since the Vatican Bank is not subject to outside audit (iirc) , that there could be some REALLY shady stuff being “cleaned up” there.

It is grossly inappropriate.
About 20 years ago I was involved in my local Catholic church, so much so I enrolled in the program to become a Deacon. The program was taking (10) ten week courses from Loyola University in Nola. At that time I had just completed my Cursillo in Prairie Roan and was on fire..
The course was named "Liberal Theology", after the third ten week course I quit. It was watering down everything.
I can only imagine how bad it is now. When Jesus returns the "church" he will be looking for will not be one of bricks and stones nor with a name.

"Academia is the biggest threat...."Jordan Peterson has been saying this for years. His stat that 90%+ of the Humanities in universities are now females sums it up factually. He also says it's only going to get worse. Which is why he's working on getting together an online university; interestingly, the initial curriculum will be a study of the worlds' best 100 books.

To completely destroy western civilization, it will be necessary to destroy all cultural folkways and mores that have been established.
