I am thoroughly convinced the mutilation of our kids into being the gender they think they are or have been indoctrinated into believing will be seen in 30 years the same way we currently look at the lobotomy. It is evil.

I identify as the president of the US. Will you respect my truth?

Also despite my income I identify as poor. The IRS must respect my truth.

10 year olds at least have a rough idea on how the world works. These lunatics think 3 year olds are capable of determining their gender.

In my humble opinion and as a person on the right side of the spectrum, most of the discord and strife about this rises from the left/progressive/activists. It didn't used to be that way I know many many years ago. The left wants to hate on and boycott every one and every entity that doesn't fall into line. Live and let live truly! I am a bit older and I don't have enough time or energy to hate on other people.

I only say that based on my biased, pre-conceived notions based on the posters here at TD. Would agree that I had my guard up immensely coming back, because I didn’t know what to expect from either my huge arse family or strangers here in BR.

I don’t have a problem with anything an 18 year old or older does with their body. I do have a problem with them trying to do this to kids, when 94% of kids with gender dysphoria grow out of it. Saying that we should mutilate and castrate these kids is evil.

I’ll put it this way. When I was in kindergarten I could write equally as well with both hands. My mom and my teacher sat down with me and forced me to choose. I chose my right hand. Guess what? I chose wrong. Save for writing and eating, I do everything else predominantly with my left hand and am entirely left footed. My handwriting and drawing is a god damn disaster. If I couldn’t get something as trivial as that right, how the frick would I know the ramifications of being castrated? That’s where my problem is with this trans narrative.

OML,
I think we hashed this out in a previous thread months ago, but for the record: I’m against children medically transitioning before the age of 18. My views don’t always align in lockstep with the rest of my peers.

I’m glad your notions were wrong and people allowed you to live your life. I’m also glad you’re against children permanently altering themselves.

Now put on a "Make America Great Again" hat and walk through San Francisco and tell us what your experience is.

Gotcha, I'm good with government, lawyer, etc gobbledygook it's like plain English to me because the words are based in reality. But this made up stuff is baffling.

don’t know, but the topic keeps coming up.

Look y’all, I’m trans. I’ve known I was different since I was 7 and finally put all the pieces together at 13. I’ve said it before in multiple threads in the last couple of months. I was in Baton Rouge last week for my grandmother’s funeral and was scared shitless about being out and about.

You know what happened going outside to places in BR? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Went to Goodwood hardware, Calvin’s, Superior, Sammy’s and Top Golf and nobody said or did anything weird (except on girl staring a bit at Top Golf). Nobody cared (or maybe they did, I don’t know).

But everyone was cool in BR when I had preconceived notions that they weren’t going to be. That made me feel nice as BR is where I was born, lived for a bit and still have a boatload of family.

Listen, I just want to live my life as normally as humanly possible. Just like everyone else.

Alright, time to answer the question everyone wants to know...

Did you get some chicken salad at Calvin’s?

That is a hyperbolic example. I have no idea what it might be but find the most anti-LGBT community in the US and walk around with a gay pride t-shirt on and the reactions would be similar.

You are conflating someone just living their life to someone making an overt statement of belief in an area that is generally not accepting of it.

When is the last time you heard of that happening?

What does the brain look like for someone with a massive penis?

Because my brain would look like that.

You seem like a level headed person. I wish more people were like you.

They don’t. Very few people care about such things. I’ve said for years that “oppressed groups” would be surprised—and probably even disappointed—if they understood how little most people care about their race/gender/sexual preference/etc.

Thank you for the kind words Biglego. I came out later in life and towards the end of my military career. It’s been incredibly humbling, the amount of support I’ve received and I’ve only had a few instances of people being a-holes. It’s a long and difficult journey.
