Also imagine what would happen to the transgender community at large if she did that? Hate crimes against transgendered people would skyrocket. It’d take the LGBT community back a decade.

That's not how the first amendment works, dude. I don't agree with it at all but we don't throw people in prison for that - if you want militant patriotism, then go move to North Korea or China.

I think it should be legal to burn the American flag, but if you do it on the world stage at the fricking Olympics, then your citizenship should be revoked. Sorry, I didn’t say criminally prosecute her, but you do that specifically representing our country and you say you hate our country by doing the most offensive thing to that flag possible, then don’t come back to the country. I have no doubt that if the Olympics do not have a rule about burning your country's flag while on the podium, they will shortly. I am also pretty sure they are all sitting around thinking, "you know, that is just a rule we didn't think we needed. Sort of like the hot warning on a cup of coffee, but it is 2021."

They are not a private citizen while competing at the Olympics. They a Representative of the United States. They don’t get to go up there and do whatever they damn well please.
