Love the OP asking for “advice” and then arguing with every single person who tries to offer any.

OP, you acted honorably and justly. The cop is an evildoer who isn’t fit for the job. Is that what you wanted to hear? Also, stop following too closely.

you get roughly 2 to 3 car lengths behind the trooper

That is technically following too close if you were doing 40 MPH or higher

trooper to write a traffic citation even though I was not violating the law

Can this be proven either way?

You admit right here that you were following too close on the interstate. And you also admitted to physically operating your cell phone camera while driving on the interstate.

What an absolute moron lol.

I can see pushing back to what people are saying if maybe he had any sort of leg to stand on. Based on what was stated in the op, he is absolutely in the wrong and fricked lol

EXCEPT WHEN PASSING. Cmon guys, it not that hard to use critical reasoning skills

Oh so it’s okay to tailgate someone in front of you if you’re in the left lane and there happens to be a car in the right lane that you are also passing by.
Makes total sense now not.

The more important video would have been your passenger recording your following distance.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that use of cell phones is a $25 fine, whereas following too close is much. much higher, plus additional points on your ins

Exactly…That makes it even worse. If car in front slams on brakes then you have no where to move to avoid crash. This dude is a moron and likely a troll

You people have zero clue just how far that three car lengths is when you are driving. I'll be found not guilty and you people will be wrong as usual.

"Why did you come here if you are just going to argue" Indeed..
You aren't going to have an officer tolerate your "holding them accountable" regardless of the endless argument over your rights ,etc, bs,bs,bs... The legal code may support you but the actual on the street reality on this is exactly what you experienced. It didn't go well for you and common sense would tell you to refrain from trying to hold officers accountable. Just drive your own vehicle safely. Don't video using your cell while you drive. Two hands on the wheel.

Wait so your original post said this

quote:

At which point, the trooper turns on lights and initiates a traffic stop, claiming you were following too close.

But now you’re saying

quote:

one ticket has already been dismissed, with the following too close also being dismissed.

So what all were you ticketed/ arrested for? Because now you say these are being dismissed but you still have a trial date after filing for discovery

Holy shite!
I just read the whole thread and one thing that jumps out to me (other than how incredibly obtuse you are) is the following claim by you...
quote:

As stated before, the trooper has just finished another traffic stop when I passed, then trooper caught up to me doing 90 plus without lights on and was clearly not in performance of her duties. Only speeding.

You have no idea if this is true or not.
You can't really be as stupid as you seem?

You're either a great troll or one of the dumbest posters to reveal themselves as such!
Either way, it's very impressive!

What would you advise on this situation. You are driving down the interstate doing the speed limit when a state trooper zips past you doing in excess of 90 MPH without their lights on. You had passed this trooper a few miles back bc they had pulled another vehicle over.

Are you sure that trooper wasn’t responding to a call? Think before you answer.

Why do you have an upside down flag on your bio page? You have a lot of posts but this is a bunch of irrational stuff.

Get your head on straight bro.
