Trader Joe's is finally coming to New Orleans

The blue haired wannabe hippies needed another place to shop and work in NOLA. But wonder how they will respond to the crime and Trader Joes's notorious parking issues.

This is a very astute account of what y'all have to look forward to:

Trader Joe's could be coming to New Orleans, a source close to the development disclosed last week. And that news had many fans of the California-based grocery store chain celebrating.

Ours has decent parking.
But those fricking kiddie carts make me rage. Because it’s almost always someone letting their kid use one who they have no control over.

I don’t see why it’s such a big deal. They already have one in Metairie. Now if one was coming to north Louisiana, that’s news. I guess we’ll just have to settle for that $8.99 brisket sandwich. Of course it will probably be $10 by the time it’s built

They have some good pre-marinated meats and such and the store is maybe 1/3 the size of a Rouse's, those are two nice things.
Haven't been in five years as there are none nearby so maybe things have changed. But I do appreciate a small grocery. I used to love Langensteins uptown for that reason.

Daphne / Fairhope / Pensacola deserves a Trader Joe's over New Orleans...

How soon until it shuts down?

I’ve been to one in Chicago that didn’t even have a parking lot

This guy gets it.
Their hash browns, carne asada, and caramelized onion dip is also really good.

Outside of a rouses downtown there sin much in that area. There is a new medical complex right next to it.

Seems like this should be Uptown, not -- I'm not even sure what you call that neighborhood. It's not really Mid-City, not downtown.

Was coming to post this.
And their buttermilk ranch is legit
Plus some easy to make salads.

We've always loved Trader Joe's

TJ's food is either the greatest thing ever or complete trash. There is no middle.
Dark PB cups, all their ice cream, and most frozen Asian food is amazing.
Canned food, pasta sauces, and dairy is utter garbage.

Aldi owns Trader Joe's.

I find it astounding that NOLA hasn’t had a single TJs all this time.
